WHAT’S HAPPENING? The Blues reportedly reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid on Monday regarding the loan signing of Joao Felix, but according to The Times, the offensive reinforcements will continue. Chelsea is rumoured to be interested in signing Noni Madueke this winter, as Graham Potter’s side is currently 10th in the league with only 20 goals scored in 17 matches.
Noni Madueke : The Future
Madueke was born in England and spent four years in Tottenham’s academy before making a career-launching move to the Netherlands in 2018. The 20-year-old has 19 goals and 14 assists in 78 appearances for PSV’s senior side since joining in March 2020 from their youth team. However, he was sidelined between July and October 2022 due to an ankle injury, limiting him to just seven appearances in all competitions in 2022-23.
AND WHAT’S MORE FOR NONI MADUEKE
Should a deal for Madueke be finalised, he would join Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos, and David Datro Fofana as the Blues’ most recent January signings, as the club continues its aggressive approach from the summer window. Todd Boehly, who stepped down as interim sporting director and delegated Chelsea’s transfer strategy to new recruits Christopher Vivell and Paul Winstanley, will play a reduced role this time around.
