Northern Christian Youth Network Denounces Religious Incitement

The Northern Christian Youth Network (NCYN) has issued a stern warning against those fanning the flames of religious discord in Nigeria.

This call to unity comes in response to divisive statements directed at former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, who now serves as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

He particularly pointed to a viral video where prominent Islamic cleric, Sheikh Gumi, referred to Wike as a detractor of Northern Nigeria and an infidel.

Tanko decried the acceptance of such hate speech and called for vigilance in preventing the rekindling of religious crises that have been dormant for some time.

He emphasized that unity and cooperation among all regions are vital for Nigeria’s progress.
