Obubra born Dr Alfred Mboto, from Obubra Local Government area of the state has been inducted as the Pro-Chancellor of Esfam University in Porto Novo, Benin Republic.
A top government official in Cross River State, Dr Alfred Mboto has been inducted as the Pro-Chancellor of Esfam University in Porto Novo, Benin Republic.
Mboto, who was inducted into the University on 30th October, 2022, is the Permanent Secretary, Special Services, Governor’s Office and State Security Office in Cross River State.
Founded in 2008, Esfam University is a non-profit private and coeducational higher education institution located in the city of Porto Novo. It offers courses and programmes leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study.
Information on its website indicate that the University is well accredited by the ministry of higher education in Benin Republic and also by the ministry of education in Nigeria.
Dr Mboto will be the first Cross Riverian to hold appointment as a Pro-Chancellor in a foreign university.
