Eyewitness Provides Insights into Okuama Killings, Reveals How Soldiers and Villagers Died

We’ve endured silent suffering for too long, hoping the federal government would step up and bring positive change. Sadly, things seem to be worsening.

While I strongly condemn the killing of Nigerian soldiers in Okuama Community, it’s crucial to acknowledge the unacceptable reprisals, targeting innocent villagers and their homes. Such actions by our highly trained armed forces are unprofessional and unjust.

This aggression against the people of the South-South aims to intimidate and weaken our spirit, reducing us to servitude.

Let’s review some tragic events: on August 17, 2023, 36 Nigerian soldiers were ambushed and killed in Nasarawa.

On April 5, 2022, bandits attacked the Nigeria Defense Academy in Kaduna, claiming 19 lives.

Similar attacks occurred on August 25, 2023, in Zamfara, where 7 soldiers were slain, and on July 3, 2022, in Shiroro, Niger State, resulting in 34 casualties.

Moreover, on March 24, 2020, Boko Haram gunmen ambushed and killed 50 soldiers in Yobe state.

These sacrifices were made in defense of our nation and citizens, with 80% attributed to Islamic terrorists and Fulani bandits.

Despite these atrocities, there’s little to no mention of retaliatory actions against northern communities or arrests of Emirs. Southerners in Nigeria face unjust treatment.

May God deliver us from the conspiracies within the Nigerian state and political structure.
