Ortom opens up on defecting to APC, vows to support Tinubu after leaving office
Governor Samuel Ortom of the state of Benue has ruled out joining the All Progressives Congress, APC, after leaving office.
As a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ortom vowed to support and work for the incoming president, Bola Tinubu.

Wednesday on Arise Television’s Morning Show, the governor stated that he will continue to promote equality and justice in Nigeria.
Ortom stated that he fought for a southern presidency because he desired equity and justice.
According to him, “That is not on the table, as I am a member of the PDP and worked for the Southern presidency, of which Tinubu and Obi were a part.” Defecting is not currently on my agenda.

“If Tinubu is sworn in, I will continue to pray for his success and offer him my support.
“I will remain the leader of the PDP in the state of Benue, but I will continue to work for equity and justice in Nigeria.”
