Oscars 2023 Nomination in major categories
The Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, will be held at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday.
Winners in each category receive a replica of a golden statuette referred to as the “Academy Award of Merit” trophy.
However, the Academy Award of Merit statuette is commonly referred to by its nickname, “Oscar.”
The statuette depicts a knight in Art Deco style and was sculpted by Los Angeles artist George Stanley based on a sketch by art director Cedric Gibbons.
In this year’s edition, the Multiverse science-fiction blockbuster “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once” receives eleven nominations, while the Irish dark comedy “The Banshees of Inisherin” and the World War I film “All Quiet on the Western Front” each receive nine nominations.
