Osimhen makes winning debut for Galatasaray
Victor Osimhen made a strong debut for Galatasaray in their dominant 5-0 win against Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig tonight. Despite not getting on the scoresheet, the Napoli striker on loan to Galatasaray had a notable performance.
Osimhen was credited with the second goal initially, but TV replays later confirmed he did not touch the free kick that led to the goal in the 26th minute. He came close to scoring several times, including a header in the 15th minute from a Dries Mertens cross that narrowly missed the target.
In the 42nd minute, Osimhen struggled to connect well with the ball inside the box and was denied his debut goal by Rizespor’s goalkeeper in the 77th minute. Despite these near misses, he played the entire match, contributing to a convincing team performance.
Nigerian stars Ibrahim Olawoyin and David Akintola also featured for Rizespor during the game.
