Governor Sanwo-Olu Faces Backlash for  Tweet Plagiarism in Praise of ‘A Tribe Called Judah.

In a social media controversy, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State is under scrutiny for allegedly plagiarizing a tweet from former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. The incident revolves around the commendation of Funke Akindele’s latest film, ‘A Tribe Called Judah.

The controversy unfolded when netizens noticed similarities between Sanwo-Olu’s tweet and a previous one by Atiku Abubakar praising the movie’s success. It is claimed that the Lagos State Governor copied and pasted Atiku’s tweet but later deleted it after being exposed. Unfortunately for Sanwo-Olu, screenshots of the original post had already circulated.

The Nation newspaper, linked to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, also reportedly used the copied tweet in its report on the success of ‘A Tribe Called Judah.’ The article, titled ‘Sanwo-Olu congratulates Funke Akindele as ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ hits N1 billion box record,’ included the plagiarized content from Atiku’s post.
