Patience Jonathan Addresses Speculations About Husband’s 2027 Presidential Bid.
Former First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan has clarified that her husband, former President Goodluck Jonathan, will not seek the presidency in the 2027 election.
Speaking to the Greater Igbo Forum in Abuja, Patience Jonathan addressed recent speculations and calls from political stakeholders urging her husband to run for office again.

She emphasized that Goodluck Jonathan has already held the highest political position in Nigeria and has no intentions of returning to the political arena.
“My husband has reached the pinnacle of political office. What is he looking for again? We are not going in again,” Patience Jonathan stated.

In her speech, she also urged the Igbo community to prioritize national unity over personal and political differences. She emphasized the importance of loving the country for the sake of future generations and called for unity and mutual support within the community.
“Let us manage one another. Let us love ourselves. Let us be united and be our brother’s keepers,” she concluded.
