PDP crisis: Wike, Atiku finally reconcile
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who served as onetime Nigeria’s vice president in the past, has stated that his meeting with Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, was productive.
This information was disclosed by Atiku on Thursday while he was having a conversation with various journalists in Port Harcourt. Atiku had arrived in Port Harcourt the previous Tuesday.

Former People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate in 2019 said he was in Port Harcourt to reconcile with Governor Wike on party affairs and position the party to take over power at the centre in 2023. He said this while he was in Port Harcourt.
According to him, Nigerians can hardly contain their excitement about the prospect of the PDP assuming power in 2023.

The former vice president said, “I came here to reconcile with the governor on party affairs and how we can ensure that there is unity and stability within the party so that we can take over the government in 2023.”
“I believe that Nigerians are counting down the days until 2023, so that the PDP can make a comeback.”

Wike was also referred to as the “top most” governor in Nigeria by the former Vice President, who made this assessment based on Wike’s developmental strides.
