Peter Obi mourns as Omawumi Jemide-Lawal top ally dies in fatal accident
Omawumi Jemide-Lawal, a member of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has passed away.
On Thursday, Jemide-Lawal of Delta State was killed in a car accident. She was 75 years old.

Peter Obi, Labour Party presidential candidate for the 2023 election, reacted to Jemide- Lawal’s death by stating that the death of the party’s important PCC member is a great loss for the people of Delta state.
“I was grieved by the news of Dr. Omawumi Jemide- Lawal’s terrible demise in a catastrophic automobile accident.

Dr. Jemide-Lawal is one of the newly selected Labour Party presidential campaign members.
“Her passing is a tremendous loss for her family, the Labour Party, and the citizens of Delta state.

Obi said in a statement on Friday, “I pray for the sweet repose of her spirit and that God Almighty would allow her family the courage to suffer this enormous loss.”
