According to him, a tip-off resulted in the arrest of the suspects on October 18, 2022, around 1800 hours.
According to Effiom, the team of police officers detained 21-year-old Uzairu Adamu from Yandutse village in Ringim LGA because his chamber had ten (10) and a half bags of dried leaves that were thought to be Indian hemp.
After being questioned, the suspect admitted, according to Effiom, that he had purchased the exhibits from a certain Zaidu Galadima, a truck driver from the Malamawa village in the Ringim region.
The two suspects, according to him, were detained, and SCID Dutse is still looking into the case.
According to him, preliminary inquiry showed that the individuals had been on the NDLEA’s wanted list.
According to the CP, the suspects would be turned over to the NDLEA for additional investigation before being charged in court.
