South African Police officer guns down wife, lover, reports self
Mmutle, a South African police officer, has been arrested in connection with the murders of his estranged wife and a 30-year-old man named Katlego, believed to be his wife’s lover.
The warrant officer discovered his wife and the alleged lover engaging in sexual activity at a friend’s flat and shot them dead.

Lizzy Suping, a spokesperson for the Independent Police Investigative Directorate, stated that the incident occurred on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at iKageleng in Zeerust, North West province.
On Wednesday, according to Suping, the warrant officer turned himself in to police.
Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone, a police spokesperson, stated that the off-duty officer went to a residence in Sandvlakte, where he allegedly fired multiple shots, killing a 30-year-old man and his wife, who was also a police officer stationed at Kopfontein Port of Entry.
“After the incident, the suspect turned himself in to the police, and the alleged weapon used in the commission of the crime was confiscated. “Investigations are currently underway and the motive for the crime is unknown,” he said.
