Popular Anambra billionaire rejects Peter Obi, ask him to drop his presidential ambition
Prince Arthur Eze, a renowned Igbo leader and billionaire has told Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate to dropped his presidential ambition.
In front of Governor Charles Soludo, traditional leaders, and women’s organizations on Saturday, December 24, HRH Igwe (Dr.) Robert Eze, the traditional ruler of Ukpo in Dunukofia local government area of Anambra state, reportedly said a few things about Obi.
The wealthy oil tycoon stated that he was not involved in Peter Obi’s campaign for president.
“I advised Peter Obi to drop out of this campaign, but he would not listen,” he said. I made it clear to him that I don’t participate in his ideas.
I advised him to wait till the next time and to give up his aim.
I asked him which states in the west and north he thought he could win when he informed me about his aim, and he replied, but I wasn’t persuaded. I told him he couldn’t win, saving him the time and money by making him realize it.
Arthur Eze, who pointed at Governor Soludo and whose cousin, Prince Emeka Eze, is the PDP’s candidate for the Aniocha, Njikoka, and Dunukofia federal constituency, continued: “This is the Igbo-born candidate we believe would eventually succeed buhari as president of Nigeria.
Currently, we are supporting a presidential contender. He will take over to Soludo after his term as president.”

But a women’s organization, Umuada Igbonine Home and Abroad, whose members were present, expressed horror at Prince Eze’s comment and said it was delivered under duress.
