The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the Ijanikin Police Station, Lagos State Police Command, CSP Bolaji Olugbenga, has died.
Reports indicate that the DPO slumped in his office on Thursday night and passed away before he could be transported to a nearby hospital.

The news of his death has plunged officers attached to the station into mourning. A police officer from the division, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that Olugbenga’s body has since been moved to a mortuary. “He slumped in the office on Thursday and was quickly rushed to the hospital. But sadly, we lost him,” the officer stated.

As of the time of filing this report, the state police command had yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
