POS operator working for bandits arrested in Zamfara
The Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps in Zamfara State has detained a point-of-sale (POS) operator who goes by the name Mustapha.
He is suspected of having been hired by bandits for the purpose of conducting financial transactions.

Muhammad Muazu, the commandant of the Zamfara NSCDC, stated that Mustapha was taken into custody in the Birnin Tsaba Community within the Zurmi LGA of the state.
During the course of the investigation, his team conducted a stop-and-search operation and were able to retrieve two point-of-sale machines from the suspect.

“The suspect admitted that the machines were purchased for him by a leader of the bandits, and he is only doing business with people he is familiar with,(the bandits) ” the police report stated.
