Power Is Rotated Among Two Ethnic Groups In Nigeria, Igbos Programmed To Be Onlookers — Odom 

 

 

 

Chuka Odom, a former minister of the environment, housing, and urban development, expressed his displeasure with the Nigerian electoral process for not treating the Igbo fairly during the election period in an interview.

He claims that ever since the APC was founded, the Igbo have been trained to be observers. He bemoans the fact that the Igbo will never again be taken for granted after these elections. This assertion was made by the former environment minister during a Sun paper interview in which he discussed the idea of designating the Senate Presidency to the Southeast.

According to him, “Chuka Odom said Power is just rotated among two ethnic groups in Nigeria to the chagrin of the Igbo that have contributed to the development of this country. Since the formation of APC, the Igbo have been programmed to be onlookers. The issue of zoning the Senate Presidency to the South East is a marginal token. It shouldn’t be a subject of discussion.
