Power surge kills family of 4 in Kaduna
In Kofar Gayan Low Cost, Zaria, Kaduna State, four family members have been confirmed dead as a result of the high voltage electricity supply.
Mohammed Umar, the head of the fire service division in Kofar Doka, Zaria, reportedly confirmed the Friday fire outbreak.

This newspaper learned that an electrical spark was to blame for the incident.
The incident claimed the lives of Alaramma Mohammed Sani, an imam at Buhari’s residence, his wife, Raulatu Sani, and two of their children, Hashim Sani, 8, and Fatima Sani, 1, according to Safiyanu Aliyu, an eyewitness and a neighbor of one of the deceased.
The high voltage of the electricity supply being restored to the area at that time, according to Aliyu, was the cause of the fire incident. Aliyu called the incident unfortunate.

A local vigilante group member, Bello Haruna, also made a statement, saying: “We were on patrol when we saw fire engulfing the resident of Alaramma Mohammed Sani and we all rushed to render assistance.
“I also cited the sudden, high-voltage restoration of electricity to the region as a contributing factor to the incident.”
Meanwhile, No fewer than 11 people were reportedly killed three weeks ago as a result of high electric power supply in some Zazzau neighborhoods in Zaria, Kaduna State.

The Gwargwaje and Kauran Juli areas, which are located along the Zaria-Kaduna Expressway in the state, are among the affected areas.
A pregnant woman, medical staff, a police officer, and many other people were killed in the Gwargwaje region.
