President Tinubu Admits to Hardship in Nigeria, Blames Buhari, Jonathan

President Bola Tinubu has acknowledged the ongoing economic challenges in Nigeria, attributing the country’s current hardship to past mismanagement of resources.

Speaking during a meeting with the Forum of Former Presiding Officers of the National Assembly, Tinubu emphasized that his administration is dedicated to addressing the root causes of the country’s struggles and implementing lasting solutions.

According to Tinubu, key sectors such as education and infrastructure were neglected during periods of high crude oil production, leading to the current difficulties faced by Nigerians. He urged the nation to reflect on these past mistakes and shift focus toward rebuilding critical areas to ensure a more secure future.

“I didn’t come to exploit the situation but to work for the progress of the nation,” Tinubu stated, noting that he sought the presidency to bring about positive change for the country. He also highlighted the importance of collaboration, inclusiveness, and proper financial structuring, referencing the success of developed nations.

The President further pointed out the dire state of Nigeria’s educational infrastructure, stressing the need for a decent learning environment to encourage school enrolment.
