President Tinubu makes three fresh appointment
President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has given his authorization for the establishment of a new management team for the Customs department.
This decision came in the wake of the appointment of Bashir Adewale Adeniyi as the Acting Comptroller General of Customs on June 19, and the subsequent retirement of some members of the management team within the Service.

The recently constituted management team includes Deputy Comptroller Generals (DCGs) and Assistant Comptroller Generals (ACGs) with the following appointees: DCG FO Okun, DCG MBA Musa, DCG A Hamisu, ACG K Olumoh, ACG AB Mohammed, and ACG A Alajogun.
In a statement released yesterday, Abdullahi Maiwada, the National Public Relations Officer and Chief Superintendent of Customs, made the announcement.

According to the statement, the Acting Comptroller General of Customs, Adeniyi, expressed gratitude to the retired members of the management for their commendable service.
He also extended his congratulations to the newly appointed Officers and urged them to intensify their efforts to propel the Service towards higher accomplishments in its core objectives of revenue generation, curbing smuggling, and facilitating trade.
