Tinubu Condemns ‘Desperate’ Gwoza Suicide Attacks, Vows to Eradicate Terrorists.
President Bola Tinubu has condemned the recent suicide attacks in the Gwoza council area of Borno State, describing them as desperate acts by a degraded insurgency. The attacks, which occurred on Saturday, claimed at least 18 lives and left several others injured.
A series of blasts detonated by the female suicide bombers, targeted a wedding ceremony, a motor park, and a hospital in Gwoza, according to official sources.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu expressed his sorrow over the incident and assured the public that his administration would intensify efforts to eliminate the terrorist threat.
“President Bola Tinubu strongly condemns the bomb attacks, which resulted in the loss of precious lives and the maiming of other citizens in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State,” the statement read. “These attacks are desperate acts of terror and a clear manifestation of the pressure mounted against terrorists and the success achieved in degrading their capacity to launch offensives.”
President Tinubu vowed that the perpetrators of these violent acts would face justice, emphasizing that his administration would not allow Nigeria to descend into an era of fear, tears, sorrow, and blood. He highlighted the government’s commitment to securing citizens and pledged to redouble efforts to ensure the complete removal of those who disrupt law and order.

“The purveyors of wanton violence shall have a certain encounter with justice,” President Tinubu declared. “These cowardly attacks are only an isolated episode, as my government will not allow the nation to slither into an era of fear, tears, sorrow, and blood.”
President Tinubu also extended his condolences to the victims, their families, and the people and government of Borno State. “President Tinubu condoles with the victims of the attacks, the families of the deceased, as well as the government and people of Borno State,” the statement concluded.
