President Tinubu Urges Christian Association of Nigeria to Preach Against
In a meeting with a delegation from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) led by its president, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, on Monday at the State House in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu, emphasized the importance of promoting values such as understanding, tolerance, perseverance, and hope for the nation.
Addressing the delegation, President Tinubu urged CAN to actively participate in preaching against corruption and related issues. His spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, relayed Tinubu’s message, stating, “We have no other country but Nigeria.

If you do not preach the sermon of understanding, tolerance, perseverance, and hope for Nigerians, you are doing damage to the country, and nobody will help us repair it.”
Tinubu stressed the significance of dialogue, asserting that public condemnation alone does not contribute to the betterment of the nation. He highlighted the need for a collective change in mindset, cautioning against making money the ultimate pursuit.
President Tinubu expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, stating, “I believe we will get to the Promised Land, and Nigeria will flourish.”
The politician reassured the public of his government’s commitment to fairness, inviting constructive criticism from the Christian Association of Nigeria. He stated, “We are here to listen, and if you observe any inadequacies in my government, let us know.

Responding to criticisms about the size of his cabinet, President Tinubu defended the need for efficiency, mobility, and resourcefulness. He explained, “If you want efficient, mobile, and resourceful people, we have to give people a load they can carry. If you combine too many ministries because you want to save money, you will have a future of non-performance and no results.

Nigeria needs to turn the corner to grow, and we must give people challenges they can manage, and that is what we are doing.”
