June 12: Tinubu’s Aide Explains Why President Slipped At Eagles Square

APC Acknowledges Tinubu’s Policies Have Worsened Economic Hardship.

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has admitted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies have intensified economic hardship across Nigeria. APC National Publicity Secretary, Barrister Felix Morka, made this statement in response to criticisms from Salihu Mohammed Lukman, a former national vice chairman (North West) of the party.

Lukman had accused both former President Muhammadu Buhari and President Tinubu of failing to meet their campaign promises, claiming the party had let Nigerians down. He also urged opposition parties to unite and work towards defeating the APC in the 2027 elections.

In his response, Morka acknowledged the growing economic hardship but defended Tinubu’s administration, arguing that the president is making bold decisions to address long-standing economic issues. He explained that while these reforms are painful, they are necessary for the country’s long-term development.

Morka accused Lukman of seeking political relevance and dismissed his remarks as an attempt to undermine the substantial progress made by the administration. He further criticized Lukman for his inconsistent political stance, noting that his attacks were driven by personal ambition rather than concern for the country’s future.

The APC remains firm that Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda will ultimately benefit Nigerians, even though the reforms are causing short-term difficulties.
