the Federal Government of Nigeria has officially launched the Presidential Conditional Grant to Nano Businesses as part of its expansive Presidential Palliative Program. This initiative is poised to make a substantial impact, offering a grant sum of N50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira) per beneficiary. The overarching goal is to reach and benefit one million nano businesses spread across the 774 local government areas.

Collaborative Approach for Inclusive Reach

To ensure the success and inclusivity of the program, the Federal Government will collaborate with various stakeholders, including State Governments, Honourable Ministers, NASME (Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises), Senators, and House of Representative Members. These entities will play a crucial role in utilizing the Federal Government’s specified selection criteria to shortlist deserving beneficiaries from their respective constituencies.

Diverse Target Demographics

The selection criteria are carefully designed to cater to the diverse needs of the Nigerian population. The target beneficiaries comprise 70% women and youth, 10% people with disabilities, and 5% senior citizens. The remaining 15% will be distributed to other demographics, ensuring a fair and balanced allocation of the grants.

The scheme aims to make a transformative impact across various sectors crucial to Nigeria’s economic landscape. These include:

2. Transportation
3. Food Services
4. ICT (Information and Communication Technology)
5. Creatives
6. Artisans

 

Presidential Conditional Grant Amount

Nano businesses will receive an N50,000 grant, while MSMEs & manufacturers will access loans up to N1 million & N1 Billion respectively.
