Private Jet Carrying VIPs Crash-Lands in Ibadan
A private jet with about 10 individuals on board, including Very Important Personalities (VIPs), crash-landed in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. The unfortunate event occurred on Friday at approximately 11 am at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport.
The jet, identified by its registration number N580KR, veered off the runway and ended up in the nearby bush. Swift response from firefighters and rescue officials from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) helped prevent any loss of life or injuries.

According to Carol Adekotujo, a spokesperson for the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the private plane originated from Abuja and managed to land safely. However, it overshot the runway during the landing. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported in connection with the incident.

Tunji Oketunmbi, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), when contacted, confirmed the occurrence. It is a relief that despite the crash landing, all occupants of the private jet emerged unharmed.
