Rashford: PSG to test Rashford’s resolve with huge contract offer to land Man Utd star

In an effort to sign Marcus Rashford before Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and Real Betis, Paris Saint-Germain is prepared to make him one of the highest-paid athletes on the planet.

The 25-year-contract old’s at United will expire in the summer, and PSG is reportedly putting together a package worth up to £850,000 per week for him. He will be free to negotiate with foreign teams as of next month.

If United wants to keep their England star at Old Trafford, who has been a member of the team since he was a youngster, they will need to offer him a similar weekly salary.

Rashford, a local player, had a rough couple of seasons prior to this one, especially when Ralf Rangnick was in charge.

However, it is now thought that he should have spent more time in recovery after his injury rather than returning too soon.

This season, as he has improved his health and his enjoyment of the game under Erik ten Hag, that sentiment has grown.

And all of that has translated into his performance for United and the Three Lions during the World Cup under Gareth Southgate.

German powerhouse Bayern has been keeping an eye on Rashford’s situation, but the numbers being floated are likely to turn them away.

Betis will also find it difficult to match PSG’s offer for Rashford; according to some sources, the LaLiga team may settle for around £500,000 per week.

That obviously leaves PSG, one of his other suitors outside of United, in the box.

With more time left on his contract, a player of Rashford’s age, talent, and experience would be worth around £70 million, representing a significant cost savings for any prospective buyer.
