2023 Elections: Real reason LP Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi is approaching court
Aisha Yesufu, a top campaigner for Peter Obi and the Labour Party, stated on Saturday that the party is not overly concerned about the electronic transmission of election results because it is voluntary.
Yesufu, stated that the Labour Party will petition the court to investigate the mandatory tallying of “the actual votes of the people.”

Yesufu wrote on her verified Twitter account, “The claim that electronic transmission of election results is not required is true, but collating the actual votes of the people is required, and that is what we are requesting.”
The Peter Obi/Yusuf Datti Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) stated that it had gathered sufficient evidence to prove that the Labour Party candidate won the presidential election in Nigeria last week. President-elect Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In response to the APC’s assertion on Friday that there is no law mandating the electronic transmission of election results, Yesufu bemoaned the alleged overturning of votes for the Labour Party at numerous Polling Units across Nigeria.
