Why Wike Sealed Atiku’s Campaign Office 

Ejesgist.ng has gathered the real reason and obtained photographs showing that the Rivers State Government has sealed a campaign office belonging to the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar.

It should be recalled that on Friday, the intra-Democratic People’s Party (PDP) squabbles that led to the formation of the Integrity group, also known as the G5 and led by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State against Atiku, reached a head when the governor used a court order to seal the building.

Why Wike Sealed Atiku’s Campaign Office 

Wike’s Spokesman, Mr. Kelvin Ebiri, stated that the closing of the campaign office was in accordance with the directive of his principal that campaign offices should not be located in residential areas.

Executive Order 22 of the state prohibited the siting of campaign offices in residential areas, and that in order to ensure that the rule of law was followed, the government approached a court, which ordered the facility to be sealed for violating the Executive Order.

It is against the law, according to Rivers State Executive Order 22, for a political campaign office to be located in a residential neighbourhood. The court issued the order that completely blocked access to the location.

Ebiri stated that “the Rivers State government approached a court” which then “ordered that the place should be sealed up.”

Meanwhile, The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has stated that the action will not deter him through his Special Assistant on Public Communications, Phrank Shaibu.

“Let me say this: the sun will rise, cock crows or not. Shaibu stated, “Atiku Abubakar will be President by the Special Grace of God.
