Ondo Man Sets Ablaze his stepchildren during quarrel with wife
In the Fagun neighbourhood of Ondo town, Ondo State, the Ondo State Police Command reported on Sunday that it had detained a man named Ojo Joseph for reportedly setting five of his stepchildren on fire.
According to reports, the 64-year-old suspect’s wife, who is the victims’ mother, had an argument with him before he committed the crime.

Reports making rounds claims that the man had for 6 months allegedly been denied S€x by his wife.
This online newspaper reports that the wife had the children with a different man before divorcing him and being married to the suspect.
The suspect’s marriage resulted in a set of twins as well.
According to a source, the culprit doused the children’s room in gasoline while they slept and then set it on fire.
The mother and the other four children suffered various degrees of injuries, while one of the stepchildren perished in the fire.

According to reports, they were being treated in a hospital.
The source stated, “Their mother and the 18-month-old twins escaped with minor injuries, while four other victims are currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo.”
The suspect was detained after the incident was reported to the police, according to Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, the state police public relations officer.
We do not yet know why the man did the deed, but we have heard that he had an argument with his wife, she continued.
