Labour Party Postpones Ward, Gubernatorial Primary Elections
The labour party ward and gubernatorial elections, Originally scheduled for April 11-13, 2023, has been rescheduled.
The party did not provide a reason for the postponement, but the new election dates are April 13 to 15, 2023.

According to a statement issued by Nneka Igwe Onwudiwe, Secretary of the State Labour Party Management Committee, the postponement was ordered by the party’s National Executive Council (NEC).
The statement read, “I am directed to inform our party members and the general public that the National Executive Council (NEC) of our great Party has moved the Ward Congress and Gubernatorial Primary Election from 11th and 13th of April, 2023 to 13th and 15th of April, 2023.”
“All other conditions remain unchanged. “NEC regrets any inconveniences caused by this date change,” the statement continued.
In a related development, Popular Anambra cleric, Prophet Odumeje has allegedly challenged professor Wole Soyinka to debate.
This comes on the heels of Nobel Laureate’s call for Labour Party vice presidential candidate to come for a debate with him.
The Anambra cleric in a video stated that he accepts the challenge on behalf of the LP vice presidential candidate adding that he finds it humourous and been the best man for the job, stated that soyinka pick a date and time, and he’d avail himself.
