In a statement released on Monday, the organisation suggested a new agenda for the Adeleke administration, noting that a citizen survey revealed the need for the government to pay immediate attention to job creation, health, commerce, and education.

The statement reads, “The agenda-setting, which doubles as a needs assessment exercise, was done through a citizens’ survey in the 30 local government areas of Osun state and a focused group.

“Respondents to the survey and participants in the focused group discussion ranked all 17 issues and sectors during the exercise between “extremely urgent,” “very urgent,” “urgent,” and “slightly urgent.”

This indicates that each issue has varying levels of urgency, and the new Osun state government should not treat them lightly.

The survey found that the areas that needed the new government’s ‘extremely urgent’ attention were job creation, health, commerce, and education.

Remember that in April 2022, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported that the unemployment rate in Osun state was 37.3%.
