Senator Ned Nwoko Decries Continued Incarceration of Senior Legislative Aide.
Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, expressed profound concern on Wednesday, November 22, over the continued incarceration of his Senior Legislative Aide (SLA), Barrister Chris Agidy, who was recently kidnapped along with 18 others in the Galadinmawa area of Abuja.

The situation has taken a grim turn with reports suggesting that 12 out of the 19 victims have allegedly been murdered by their abductors.
In a statement from Senator Nwoko’s media office, the distressing incident unfolded approximately two weeks ago when 19 individuals were forcefully taken from their homes in Galadimawa, Abuja.
Immediate measures were taken by Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, who contacted the Commissioner of Police. The OC Anti-Kidnapping team was swiftly activated to secure the release of those abducted.
Regrettably, updates from reliable police sources confirm that out of the 19 individuals abducted, 12 have been killed, while seven remain in the custody of the kidnappers.

Efforts to ascertain the well-being and status of Barrister Chris Agidy, among the seven individuals still held, are ongoing.
The Senator has maintained close coordination with security operatives throughout the ordeal. However, challenges persist as contacting the kidnappers for negotiation has proven immensely difficult. Their lines remain inactive, hindering direct communication and negotiation efforts.

According to security operatives, efforts are focused on securing the remaining individuals held captive from the forested area approximately 100 km away, despite the daunting challenges faced in reaching the kidnappers.
Senator Nwoko stated, “As we await further updates from the authorities, we remain resolute in our pursuit of a swift and safe resolution to this distressing situation. Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected families, especially Barrister Chris’s, with whom we are in close contact during this challenging period.”
