Sokoto Gov, Ahmad Aliyu Revokes Appointments Made By Ex-Gov Tambuwal
Ahmad Aliyu, the newly inaugurated governor of Sokoto, has suspended all appointments made by Aminu Tambuwal after March 19, 2023.
In a similar fashion, the Governor invalidated the renaming of tertiary institutions and the governing council and ordered the affected institutions to revert to their former names and locations.

He stated that all recent Traditional ruler appointments made by former Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal have been suspended and will be reviewed in due course in the public interest.
Recent local government sole administrators and caretaker committees appointed by the previous administration are dissolved immediately.
They are, however, ordered to immediately transfer authority to the administrative directors of their local government.
Other than statutory boards, all governing boards of provinces have been dissolved.

In addition, Governor Aliyu stated that all land allocations and related decisions made by the previous administration have been revoked with immediate effect.
All recent auctions of government assets that were wasteful and unnecessary are hereby halted and will be reconsidered at a later date.
