He challenged Tinubu’s lack of tangible actions in addressing pressing issues such as insecurity, poverty, and hunger, which have plagued the nation.
Drawing parallels to the 2015 election, Lamido recalled his warning that a victory for the current administration would lead to losses for Nigeria.
He accused Buhari of lacking political sagacity, vision, commitment, and pedigree to effectively address the nation’s challenges during his eight-year tenure.
Lamido further scrutinized Tinubu’s pledge to uphold Buhari’s policies on the economy, security, corruption, and human rights, emphasizing that this continuity would only exacerbate the existing issues.
He painted a grim picture of the current trajectory, describing it as a journey marked by a “trailer load of poverty, hunger, insecurity, hate, despondency, frustration, pain, agony,” with the ultimate destination being the grave.
