Supreme Court Dismisses Claims of Judge Withdrawal in Electoral Cases
The Supreme Court of Nigeria has unequivocally rejected reports suggesting that certain judges have withdrawn from the electoral cases involving Mr. Peter Obi and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar against President Bola Tinubu.
Speculations had circulated, alleging a crisis within the court, with claims that five out of seven Justices opted out of the case.
However, the Supreme Court has set the record straight, asserting that there is no substance to these claims.

The panel remains fully intact and is fully prepared to hear the cases as scheduled for Monday, October 23. Dr. Festus Akande, the Director of Press and Information at the Supreme Court, reassured the public that all Justices will be present for the proceedings.
In anticipation of the hearings, enhanced security measures have been implemented, and access to the courtroom will be restricted.
