Their administrative bail release is subject to conditions.
•They must deposit their passports for travel; and
•Their mobility within the Federal Capital Territory is restricted.
It was discovered that a senator provided Yunusa-Ari with bail after he was interrogated for three days while in police custody.
Alkali Baba, Inspector General of Police, personally interrogated the REC, national commissioners, and others.
Deputy Inspectors-General were with the IG during the session, according to sources, and Yunusa-Ari reportedly exchanged words with the INEC commissioners over the allegation that he had fled and was incommunicado.
The session focused on allegations of bribery during the April 15 Supplemental election, following which the REC declared All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Ayisetu Dahiru Binani as the governor-elect, while the Returning Officer’s role was usurped by the collation of results.

It was discovered that the police restricted the suspects’ movement so that they could invite all the necessary officials at a moment’s notice.
“Our investigators have spoken with the REC, some INEC National Commissioners, and other officials who are being interrogated,” said a reliable source. We’ve requested that the affected officials present their travel documents.
“Yesterday, the REC promised to deliver his passport to the Force Headquarters.
It will also be easier to indict any of the officials following the conclusion of the ongoing investigation.
The source added, “In accordance with the law and international standards, the police have granted bail to the REC, the National Commissioners, and all investigating officials.” The individuals have been released accordingly.
“A Senator is the REC’s bail surety.
“However, all those questioned were advised to limit their media visibility in order to facilitate a thorough investigation.”
The source stated that releasing the REC and others on bail will not compromise the investigation.
The source added, “With the involvement of the IGP and his management team, you can determine the level of dedication associated with this case.” The granting of bail does not hinder the investigation.
