An airplane door opening during flight is depicted in a video that has surfaced online.

On Monday, January 9, a Russian flight was involved in an incident when the back door of an AN-26 aircraft suddenly opened shortly after takeoff.

The 25 passengers’ hats flew off their heads and disappeared into the brisk air as the cabin lost pressure.

Ejesgist.ng gathered that passengers’ luggage was also sucked out.

Thank goodness no one was sucked out of the aircraft.

The IrAero Antonov aircraft’s rear door is clearly visible gaping in a video of the minus 41°C-cold takeoff from Magan in the Siberian region of Yakutia.

The passenger who recorded the video is sitting in the back of the aircraft as it travels to Magadan on the Pacific coast of Russia.

In shock, the man who is filming the nightmare can be heard cursing at the open door behind him.

The terrified passengers could be seen in a second video from the 112 outlet with the back door open and the wind howling outside.

Despite the extreme cold in the cabin during the drama, all on board were “safe” after the pilot made a quick emergency landing at Magan in the Siberian region of Yakutia.

According to a report, all 25 passengers and crew members were unharmed.

“A man sitting at the back of the plane was nearly blown away,” a male passenger remarked.

“He’d just taken his seatbelt off.

According to an aviation expert who spoke to journalist, he stated that An An-26 twin-engine turboprop plane, which was introduced in the USSR in 1970 and ceased production in 1986, should no longer be used.

He asserted that the malfunction of the door’s locking mechanism was not unexpected.

According to later reports, the majority of the passengers’ luggage was sucked out of the plane when the door burst open.

All of the passengers are thought to have been buckled up for takeoff and wearing coats after boarding in the bitter cold.
