Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has decried the prolonged occupation of schools in the Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area by terrorists for the past five years.
Governor Mutfwang expressed his concerns during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily program on Tuesday, where he also criticized the federal government for what he termed as a “lack of political will” to dislodge the marauding terrorists.

The governor, speaking with a sense of urgency, emphasized the need to address the ongoing crisis, stating, “We must stop this carnage.” He underscored the importance of adopting a proactive approach rather than a reactive strategy, urging security agents to take decisive action.
As I am talking to you today, in Barkin-Ladi Local Government, schools have been occupied by these terrorists for some years now. Not less than 64 communities have been displaced, and the lands have been taken over by these marauding terrorists,” Governor Mutfwang revealed.

The shocking revelation comes in the wake of a recent attack in the state on Monday, as reported by Ejes Gist News. The assailants’ assault resulted in the tragic death of over 150 individuals, with 221 houses left in ruins.
