The Tinubu I Know Is A Totally Different Person Now – Shettima
Arewa Youth Leader Expresses Reservations About Tinubu-Led Administration
Shettima Yerima, the National Leader of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), has voiced concerns regarding the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
In an interview with our correspondent, Yerima, a former Youth Director of the political pressure group NADECO, raised apprehensions about Tinubu’s current role in the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
Yerima, who was an active pro-democracy activist alongside Tinubu during the struggle against General Sani Abacha’s military regime in the early 90s, expressed hopes that Tinubu’s government had not fallen under the influence of the traditional ‘Aso Rock Cabal’ as seen in the previous administration of Muhammadu Buhari.

He also criticized some of Tinubu’s appointments, noting that the younger generation appeared to be overlooked in favor of older appointees.
Yerima urged President Tinubu to draw lessons from Buhari’s tenure, where he surrounded himself with advisors who had a significant impact on his administration.
Yerima stated, “The Bola Tinubu that I know and that I once worked in the trenches is a totally different person now.
I hope it’s not what I am thinking, and I don’t want to believe that he would be hijacked by the same characters… He should learn from what happened to his predecessor.”
