What appears to be a major political move is that three of the four members of the House of Assembly elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kebbi State have defected to the All Progressives Congress with a massive crow of their supporters. The development was disclosed at the APC flag-off campaign for the Local Government Elections at Koko Besse Local Government Area on Saturday.
He further informed that the decision to defect to the ruling party was made by the lawmakers representing Argungu, Bunza, and Yauri constituencies under the firm belief in the sterling leadership and performance of Governor Nasir Idris.

“It’s a testament to the decision of members of the assembly to support and join hands with Governor Idris in his mission and vision for the development and progress of Kebbi and her people,” he said, extolling further the impact of leadership provided by the governor.
The APC State chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana Zuru, in his happy mood, welcomed the defectors and their teeming supporters at the rally. He assured the party of its support for them and the just treatment awaiting them before he extolled the virtues of Gov Idris in transforming Kebbi State within one year.

The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, who is also the former governor of the state, expressed delight over such accomplishments that the current administration, under Governor Idris, has made. Former Governor Saidu Dakingari, who was also the Director-General of APC’s campaign committee during the last governorship election in the state, urged the electorate to come out en masse to vote for APC during the forthcoming local government elections. The former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, praised the impacts that so far had been realized under the APC-led administration, rallying unified support in furtherance of the progress and development of the state.
