Tinubu Appoints Seven Executive Directors.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed seven executive directors for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), marking a significant leadership reshuffle at the state broadcaster. The appointments were disclosed in a statement signed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Friday.

The new executive directors include a blend of reappointed and fresh faces with diverse backgrounds in news, law, finance, marketing, and production. Below are the appointed individuals:

1. Ayo Adewuyi – Reappointed as Executive Director, News. Adewuyi continues his role overseeing NTA’s news operations, reflecting continuity in the station’s news department.

2. Barr. Ibrahim Aliyu – Executive Director, Special Duties. A legal practitioner, Aliyu will bring his legal expertise to manage special duties within the organization.

3. Malam Muhammed Fatuhu Mustapha – Executive Director, Administration and Training. Mustapha is tasked with ensuring the efficient running of the administration and employee training programs.

4. Mrs Apinke Effiong – Executive Director, Finance. Effiong, an expert in financial marketing, treasury, management accounting, and reporting, takes on the financial oversight of the NTA.

5. Mrs Tari Taylaur – Executive Director, Programme. Taylaur is an experienced audio/visual creator, producer, and showrunner, responsible for the creative content and programming of the station.

6. Mr Sadique Musa Omeiza – Executive Director, Engineering. Omeiza will lead the technical and engineering aspects of NTA, ensuring the station’s broadcasting infrastructure runs efficiently.

7. Mrs Oluwakemi Fashina – Executive Director, Marketing. Fashina, an integrated marketing communications professional and chartered marketer, will spearhead the marketing efforts of NTA.

The appointments are part of President Tinubu’s broader efforts to revitalize and strengthen the leadership of key government agencies for better service delivery. These appointments signal the administration’s commitment to enhancing the quality and efficiency of the national broadcaster, ensuring it remains competitive and up to date in the fast-evolving media landscape.
