Tinubu Is Not Too Big to Be Voted Out of Office in 2027 – El-Rufai’s Son
Bashir El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has asserted that no one is immune to being voted out of power by the people.
In a post on his X handle on Wednesday, Bashir cautioned that an upset could occur in the 2027 general elections, emphasizing that it would happen without repercussions.

He called for calm among citizens, asking them to ignore the prevailing intimidations. Bashir warned that even the international financial institutions, such as the IMF and World Bank, would not save those in power when time comes, asserting that political strategists would be the same.

“Nobody is too big to be elected out of office by the people. It will happen & wallahi nothing will happen. So forget all these intimidations flying up and down. Let us be patient,” Bashir stated. “Even the IMF & World Bank no go save una that time. Political strategist una. That one na for Lagos.”
In a subsequent post, Bashir clarified that he did not mention any names, reinforcing his position that he would not support what he described as the failure of governance masked by dangerous ethnocentric political strategies.

“I didn’t call names o, but due to their guilt, they already know who is being spoken about. Wallahi, none of you will force anyone to support this utter failure of governance disguised as useless, dangerous ethnocentric political strategy,” he added.
It is noteworthy that President Bola Tinubu was often hailed as a master strategist during the 2023 presidential campaign. Meanwhile, Nasir El-Rufai has faced allegations of misappropriation of public funds during his tenure as Kaduna State governor.
