President Bola Tinubu will not attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session in New York this year, following intense media scrutiny and public criticism. Initially scheduled to participate, Tinubu has decided to focus on pressing domestic issues instead.
In a press release issued by the presidency, the decision was attributed to the President’s desire to tackle Nigeria’s internal challenges, particularly in the aftermath of devastating floods that recently affected parts of the country.
