As Nigerians anticipate the inauguration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the country’s 16th president, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the last general election, has reacted to the upcoming ceremony.
According to him, the president-elect’s inauguration will strengthen him.

On Monday, May 29, the former governor of Lagos state will be sworn in as Commander-in-Chief and 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Obi disclosed this while responding to a question about the inauguration in a Twitter Spaces thread.
Obi stated that he would not yield in the struggle to secure “his mandate.”
He said:
“I did not begin this journey in a single day; I knew it would not be simple. The inauguration will bolster my resolve.”
He said to his followers, “I implore you to maintain your concentration. This entails a process that requires time.”
