Tobi Amusan, the World Record holder, demonstrated her remarkable skills once again at the Silesia Diamond League Women’s 100m Hurdles. She not only claimed victory but also shattered the meet record, crossing the finish line in an impressive time of 12.34 seconds.

The competition was intense, with American athlete Kendra Harrison putting up a strong fight. However, Amusan’s determination propelled her to catch up with Harrison, resulting in a nail-biting race to the end.

 

Securing the third position was the newly crowned US champion, Nia Ali, who completed the race in 12.38 seconds. Following her was the Jamaican champion Megan Tapper in fourth place, with her compatriot Danielle Williams finishing fifth.

Amusan’s incredible performance marked the fastest time achieved this season by the renowned Nigerian sprint icon. This achievement also matched the meet record set by Jasmine Camacho-Quinn.

 

With this remarkable record-breaking performance, Amusan now stands at the pinnacle of the Diamond League standings, holding a seven-point lead over Camacho-Quinn. Interestingly, Camacho-Quinn did not participate in any Diamond League meet this season, further highlighting Amusan’s dominance.
