Amotekun officer slumps, dies in Osun

 

Eluwanda Demilade, a man serving with Osun Amotekun, reportedly collapsed and died on his farmland.

On Saturday, the deceased, who served with the Amotekun Corps in the Ife-South local government area of Osun state, reportedly fell while working on his cocoa farm.

Alabi Adewole, a resident of Ile-Ife, disclosed that the deceased was discovered on his farm by farmers returning from the farm.

It was learned that the deceased’s family had transported his body to Ajidara in Ile-Ife for burial.

Kehinde Adeleke, a spokesman for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in the state of Osun, stated that the deceased fell and slumped while working on the farm on Saturday.

She stated, “The deceased husband’s wife, who witnessed the events, told us that he died on the farm after collapsing while harvesting cocoa.”

 

In the meantime, Osun Amotekun Corps Commandant Brigadier-General Bashir Adewimbi, rtd, confirmed the incident and stated that he has yet to receive details.
