Suspected assassins kill UI professor in Ibadan
Opeyemi Isaac Ajewole, a professor at the University of Ibadan, was allegedly murdered by assassins.
On Monday evening, Ejes Gist News Nigeria learned that the don was killed while returning to his home in the Moniya neighbourhood of Ibadan.

Ejes Gist News Nigeria has learned that his body has been deposited at the UI Anatomy Department.
According to a source within the university, Ajewole’s car was taken away after he was fatally shot.
Olukayode Ogunsanwo, a friend of the deceased, confirmed the death of the don to newsmen on Tuesday.
The friend, who was sober, simply responded, “Yes. It is valid. It is accurate.
Until his death, Ajewole was a lecturer in the university’s Department of Forest Resources Management.

His birthday is March 6, 1962.
On Tuesday, the university’s Principal Assistant Registrar for Public Communications, Joke Akinpelu, confirmed the incident to newsmen.
Akinpelu, who provided no additional information, replied, “Yes, it is true. We are unsure whether they are armed robbers or hired assassins.
His death occurred yesterday. The occurrence occurred yesterday”.
