Martins Mbang, a police officer, was shot and killed at the Peoples Democratic Party’s House of Representatives primary in Cross River State’s Obudu Local Government Area.

The primary election was held to nominate a candidate for the Obudu/Obanliku/Bekwara federal constituency in the 2023 general elections.
