Panic and fear have gripped residents around Oba Akran in Ikeja, Lagos, following a shocking helicopter crash that occurred earlier today. The chopper’s details are yet to be confirmed, but eyewitnesses reported that it exploded upon impact with a building situated adjacent to the AP filling station and United Bank for Africa (UBA) on the commercial avenue.

The incident, which took place around 3:30 pm, caused widespread hysteria in the area. Prompt emergency response teams, including the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), rushed to the scene to conduct rescue operations.
Fortunately, NEMA’s Lagos Territorial Office Coordinator, Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed that four individuals, two white and two black men, were successfully rescued from the crash site. However, further details about the victims and the cause of the accident remain unclear.
