Twitter removes Tinubu’s verification badge
Twitter has removed the verification badge from the personal account of Nigeria’s president, Bola Tinubu.
This occurred hours after former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo’s verification badge was removed.

it is believed that the “Blue checkmark” was removed so that an official grey checkmark used to differentiate government accounts could be attached to the President’s account.
Hours after he resigned, President Muhammadu Buhari’s verification badge remains intact.
In a related development, Twitter, a well-known social networking site, has taken down the verification tag from former vice president Yemi Osinbajo’s account.
The former vice president’s twitter account does not currently display the emblem that is provided to individuals who are “Government officials” as of the time of reporting.
However, Muhammadu Buhari’s old badge is still present.
